The Sun Sets on the North

The Sun Sets on the North
and I am no more.
Locked away in my prison
to languish here in these chains.
Awaiting my day of reckoning.
The day I escape this cave.
My Queen stands at my side
keeping the venom at bay.
The serpent’s secretions are sickening:
fermenting a pool of dismay.
She raises a chalice above me.
There's only so much it can hold.
It overflows upon me.
Scalding me down to my soul.
Drowning in toxic misery.
Our personal, private Hell.
How long must I endure this?
How long till your thirst is quelled?!
Through vast oceans of time,
I dream of bringing you pain.
Only one thought in my mind.
Will I see...?
The Sun Sets on the North
and I am no more.
The Gods will not do for you
what you will not do for yourselves.
Then what purpose do they serve?!
Do they "guard" you well?!
Have you not prayed to me?
For carnal, mischievous needs.
Am I such a scoundrel?
Does my punishment fit my deeds?!
